Who Made This Mess?
It can be easy to look at a photo like this and focus in on the negative, who broke the tree; how did it break? We can get to wondering was it on purpose, did the wind do it? Was the tree harmed in the process? But you see, I think the beautiful bird is seemingly oblivious to the possible issues with the tree. It looks like the bird it quite happily perched there and is maybe even able to find some insects that it could not had the tree not been broken. I say all this to say, maybe we need to stop looking at our own life and thinking it is so bad and only seeing the hurt or comparing ourselves to someone else. Maybe it is time realise that just like this bird, there are people who are better off because we are in their life and even chose to be vulnerable with them in a positive way. Take time to reflect on the beauty and the blessing not harbour on about the lack and brokenness, because maybe just maybe that brokenness will one day be a blessing for someone else, if we learn to work through it ourselves.
