Are you feeling heavy and weighed down by the weights of 2018? Are you still carrying things from last year; hurts and disappointments, broken dreams and heartache, unforgiveness?
I don't know about you, but when you carry a bag, even if it has wheels on it for too long, it becomes heavier and heavier, until you can't carry it any longer. There is only so long, that even the strongest individual can carry a weight, before they have to stop. The thing is, we then have a choice to stop and rest a bit and then slowly continue on still trying to carry the same weight, before we have to stop again or we can make a choice to leave the bag behind. Some of you might be saying, but I don't want to leave the bag behind, because that person hurt me and I can't let it go. You can't? But you're holding on so tight to something that is holding you back. Why? Someone once said that unforgiveness is like drinking poison and expecting it to hurt the other person, but thing is it only hurts you. I say if you have that much resilience and determination to hold onto something that hurt you, then you have more than enough courage to let it go, so you can be free. There may be still others of you who are holding onto something that you don't want to let go of, because you see it as the last straw of hope that something will change. Dare I challenge you, that hope need not be a weight dragged behind you. You can have a hope in a sure foundation, that those dreams can come to pass, without dragging the weight of it behind you. 2019 is a new year and maybe its time to let go of some things, so you can run free into 2019 and be all that you were made to be. When was the last time you just danced and ran free like no one was watching? Maybe in 2019 its time to do it again (or even for the first time). If you need help working through some things and letting go of past hurts and planning for your future, then send me a P.M. for your first free session. #freedom #growth #letitgo #weights #weightisgone #lettheweightgo #counselling #inspiredandequipped #change #2019 #truth
